Hi, I’m Laia – a multidisciplinary artist from Barcelona, now based in Stockholm.
My work is rooted in a deep love for nature and the tactile experience of creating with my hands. In today’s fast-paced, digital world, I find balance and grounding through slow, mindful processes like ceramics. What began as a personal form of therapy soon became a passion I couldn’t stop exploring.
I come from a background in illustration and have a long-standing interest in manual printing techniques such as linocut and stamp carving. These hands-on methods—just like working with clay—not only bring me joy and presence, but also allow me to slow down and reconnect with the creative process in a way that feels intuitive, physical, and deeply satisfying.
Gardening is another practice close to my heart, and it naturally finds its way into my creative work. I often integrate plants and flowers into my pieces—shaping pots and vases inspired by organic forms, using leaves and petals to create textures on clay, and even incorporating dried flowers into my prints. Whether I’m working with soil, ink, or clay, nature is always both my inspiration and my material.
In my workshops, I aim to share not only the techniques, but also the meditative, healing qualities of craft.
